Penelope C. "Penny" Copes


Penelope C. "Penny" Copes, 64, of Stuart, Florida, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in St. Anne's Hospital, Westerville, Ohio.

She was born on January 1, 1943 in Champaign County, Ohio the daughter of Kenneth L. and Thelma E. (Ziegler) Corn. She lived in Springfield until 1983 and retired to Stuart, Florida where she resided until 2005. In October of 2005 Penny and her mother moved to Westerville, Ohio to live in the area of her daughter Tharen. Penny graduated from Northeastern High School and attended Bowling Green University. She also enjoyed being a part of the Cat Fancy Club in Florida, and showing her pedigree Persian cats.

She is survived by her mother; daughter and son-in-law, Tharen and Larry Stephens of Westerville; two grandchildren, Lofton and Delaney Stephens; and one son, Thad Copes of Indian Town, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY.
