James E. Casey


James E. Casey, 82, of Dayton and formerly of Springfield departed this life Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born March 10, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Albert and Reba (Dempsey) Casey.

Mr. Casey was employed as a truck driver and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory his step mother; Edith Casey, five sons and a daughter-in-law; Victor and Janet Casey of Springfield, Ohio, James Casey of Lawton, Oklahoma, Charles Casey of Springfield, Ohio, Donald Casey of Columbus, Ohio and Ron Hylton of Dayton, Ohio, three daughters; Jennifer Trent, Reba Trent and Darlene Trent, a devoted cousin; Olga Mae Jennings of Lima, Ohio, his former wife; Grace Casey, special friends; Alta Hylton and Elizabeth Crowder, a special and devoted family friend; Dolly Jones of Toledo, Ohio, 22 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held Thursday in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
