Gary Clapp


Gary Clapp, 57, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in Mercy St John's Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 5, 1951, the son of Lloyd Kenneth and Norma Nadine (Spichty) Clapp.

Gary had retired from Community Hospital with many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Jacqueline Thomas and Kathy Brittin.

His survivors include one brother Steve (Clapp) Clarke of Casselberry, Florida and two nieces and one nephew Amy Saunders of Springfield, Philip Clarke of Mt Pleasant, SC, and Stephanie Clarke of Atlanta, Georgia.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor Bruce Gischel of Story-Hypes United Methodist Church officiating. Memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society. Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
