Earsel S. Coffman


Earsel S. "West Virginia Pete" Coffman, age 78, died Saturday November 8, 2008.

Pete was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1031, a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 397, and a life member of the Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Pearl Coffman; his wife, Bernice Coffman; a brother, Robert G. Coffman; sisters, Alice V. (Otto) Kessel and Wilda J. (Robert) Riggleman.

He is survived by four daughters, Shirley Peters, Brenda (Darrell) Winkle, Judy Coffman, and Joan (Danny) Pence; sisters, Kathleen L. (Paul) Jones, Gladys L. (Chester) Miller, Julia M. Timbrook, Bernice (Buck) Kestner, and Mary E. (Robert) Kuykendall; grandchildren, Jason Cameron, Kevin Cameron, Patricia Vanover, Daniel Pence, Stevie Peters, and Megan Coffman; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 12th from 5-8 at Jackson Lytle and Williams Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
