Diane Marie Currey


Diane Marie Currey, 61, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 29, 2007 at The Ohio State University Hospital. She was born on August 9, 1945 in Springfield, the daughter of Stewart and Marie (Halley) Morningstar.

She was a member of Fellowship Christian Church since 1999, prior to joining Fellowship she was a member at First Christian Church. Diane and her husband Dave of forty-two years enjoyed life together. For the last ten years they have been "full-time RV" travelers. She was involved in the Family Motor Coach Association including the Great Lakes Area Coaches for Christ Chapter where she was National Director and Treasurer, and the Tri-State Travelers Chapter. Most recently she and Dave were members of the cast at Disney World in Orlando.

She is survived by her husband, one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Barb Currey of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jason Heims of Springfield, four grandchildren: Danielle and Christopher Currey and Drew and Jackson Heims, step sister, Nancy Freschette of Rhode Island, and step brother, Paul Cook of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 from 4-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Church, 2301 Valley Loop Rd., Springfield. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Center, 1375 Perry St., Columbus, OH 43201.
