Clarence L. Coulson


Clarence L. Coulson, 95, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 in his residence.

He was born July 31, 1911 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Jabez L. and Bessie A. (Wiseman) Coulson.

Clarence was a Veteran of the United States Army and served our country proudly during World War II and Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Oliver Corporation and retired from Cascade Corporation.

He will always be remembered as a conscientious employee and loyal friend.

Survivors include his sister, Lois E. Latta of Terre Haute, Indiana; four nieces, Judy, Joyce, Jacqueline and Janice Britcher; and special friend, Toni Helfrich of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy H. Coulson; two sisters, Dorothy and Miriam Coulson; three brothers, Vance, Wilber and Raymond Coulson; and one nephew, James Britcher.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 10-11 a.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Julie Carmean officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park with Military Honors.
