Albert G. Crockett


Albert G. Crockett passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2007.

He was born July 19, 1924 in Prairie Home, Missouri. He attended a one-room schoolhouse for his first eight years of education and graduated Boonville High School. He enlisted in the Navy and fought in World War II and served in the Korean Conflict. Upon the termination of his service duty he attended Howard University, Washington, DC graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. In 1954 he left Washington, DC accepting a position in engineering with Wright Patterson Air Force Base later transferring to the DESC facility in Dayton, Ohio. He enlisted with the Ohio National Guard, Springfield, Ohio. Upon retirement he keep busy working and volunteering with several organizations in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

His mother Myrtle Young (Crockett) Hill, father James Franklin Crockett, Georgia M. Jefferies his second wife, two brothers, James Crockett, Clyde Crockett and his sister May Buchman have preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife and children's mother, Arlette N. Crockett, his brothers Hayden Crockett, Earl Crockett, William Crockett, four sisters Myrtle Willis, June McConnell, Elizabeth Hershey, Jane Hill, his daughter Leressa R. Crockett, four sons, Mark A. Crockett, Norvell F. Crockett, Harmon O. Crockett, and Kenton J. Crockett, six grandchildren and one great grand daughter.

His family will receive friends from 10am until time of service at 11am on Saturday October 27, 2007 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Final resting place Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, Ohio.
