John E. Brunson


John E. Brunson, age 50, a former Springfield, Ohio, resident, and a current resident of 310 E. Walnut St., Portland, died Saturday, November 17, 2007, from an apparent heart attack while hunting in Bearcreek Township.

John was an aviation mechanic for Miller Aviation in Portland and was a member of the Westchester United Methodist Church, in Bearcreek Township, rural Portland, Indiana.

John Brunson was born on September 22, 1957, in New York, New York, the son of John and Mildred (Allen) Brunson. He married Sue (Casey) on May 27, 2006.

Funeral services for John Brunson will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. in the Westchester United Methodist Church with visitation from 12-4 p.m. before the service on Friday in the Westchester United Methodist Church (4487 E. 400 N.) in rural Portland, Indiana.

There will also be services held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Maplewood Church of the Nazarene with visitation from 11-2 p.m. before the service on Saturday in the Maplewood Church of the Nazarene (110 Lawnview Ave.) in Springfield, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Grape Grove Cemetery in Jamestown, Ohio.

The Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland, Indiana is in charge of the arrangements.
