Jack Landon Booth


Jack Landon Booth, 60, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday June 23, 2007 at 8am, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 22, 1046 in River, Kentucky, the son of William and the late Lenora Booth. Jack was very involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren, by taking part in all their activities. He enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. He worked hard as a maintenance man for a number of years. He was always tinkering with electronics and collecting movies. He took pride in his home and yard, especially around Christmas time. He also participated in the Community Beautification Awards for 13 years.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Dorothy (Beverly) Booth; daughters Janet (Tom Jackson) Booth and Dawn Booth-Duvall; four very special granddaughters Bailey and Brittney Jackson, Tatum Price and Maelynn Duvall, all of Springfield; brothers Gary Booth, Keith (Melinda) Both, both of Springfield, and Jerry (Glenda) Booth of Mechanicsburg; sisters Debbie (Tommy) Newland, Karen (John) Milton, Mary (Rick) Carney, and Brenda (Terry) Cearley, all of Springfield; and also numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Lenora Booth and a brother Larry Booth.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6pm to 8pm in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home. The funeral ceremony will be held at 11am Friday in The Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Dungan officiating. Burial will follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
