Gerald A. Billet
Gerald A. Billet, 58 of Springfield died Thursday, December 13, 2007 in Community Hospital.
He was born in Springfield, Ohio on June 23, 1949, the son of Oscar Albert Billet and Christine Evelyn (Orahood) Billet Entler.
Jerry retired from Navistar, having worked in the press room. He was a member of the AM Vets Post 25, Moose Lodge, VFW Post 1031, and the Union Club. His hobbies include playing golf, bowling, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, and NASCAR.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He has left to cherish his memories step father George Entler; two brothers Daniel (Pam Reed) Bloomfield, David Billet; two sisters Sondra Billet (the late Tom Blakeley) all of Springfield, Diana (Steve) Seitz of Radcliff, Kentucky; three nephews Justin Billet, Robert Seitz, and Daniel J. Bloomfield III; one niece Amy Seitz-Ward; special friends Gary & Margaret Day and Dave & Peggy Denson.
Services will be Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:00AM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Bret Layton officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society.
