Karen Jane Adams


Karen Jane Adams, 54, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the Hospice of Dayton.

She was born on December 19, 1953 in Springfield the daughter of James Nick and Bonnie Goode.

She was a member of the High St. Church of the Nazarene. Karen retired from the Springfield City Parks Department specializing in turf and landscape care. She was an avid gardener and a motorcycle enthusiast.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of twenty-five years, Tom Adams of Springfield, three daughters and two sons-in-law: Jennifer Jane and David Jenkins of Springfield; Lisa and Samuel Sherman of New Carlisle; and Leigh Anne Adams of Enon; one brother, Chris Nick of Springfield; one sister, Jill and Bill Moberg of Springfield, two grandchildren, Ryan and Isabelle Sherman, seven nieces and nephews: Jon, Christy, Samantha, and D.C. Nick, Chad Litteral, Stephen and Nicklaus Moberg; and special friend, Nancy Womack and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 4-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a memorial celebration of her life will begin that evening at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Brett Layton officiating.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care Karen received from the Doctor's, Nurses, and caregivers at Hospice of Dayton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
