Harvey P. Adams

Harvey P. Adams, 89, of Springfield, passed away on July 8, 2008.

He was a life-time resident of Springfield, OH, except for the three years that he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WWII. After retirement from Ohio Steel Foundry, he started his second career at age 62, spending 26 years greeting students in the cafeteria at Wittenberg University.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Adams; two sons, Harvey Eugene (Sue) Adams of Tampa, FL, and Philip (Donna) Adams of Kettering; daughter, Linda Diane Adams of Kettering. Linda helped care for Harvey throughout his many health issues. He had two grandchildren, Chad Adams of Sabina; and is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa Olson. Melissa husband Chad Olsen, and Harvey's two great granddaughters, Meagan and Alana live in Union, KY.

Harvey's long life can be attributed to his positive and happy attitude. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.

At his request, there will be no services, and he will be interred in the Rose Hill Burial Park. The family is being served by the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home.
