Ervin Elwood Burr


Ervin Elwood Burr, age 81, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away, with his family by his side, Monday, November 5, 2007.

He was born January 6, 1926 in Greene County Ohio to the late Horace and Lulu (Rino) Burr. Ervin loved the outdoors; he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also known to browse a flea market or two. He retired from Cooper Industries as a blacksmith.

He is preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and four sisters.

Ervin is survived by: his wife of 30 years, Patsy L. Burr, son Larry E.(Marjol)Burr of Catawba, daughters; Debbie L.(Bill)Robertson of South Charleston, Rita A.(Tom)Monico of Powell and Stephanie E.(Dave)Cutlip of York, SC.; step-son Larry(Regina)Wilson and step-daughter Cheri(Jeff)Cline, brother Douglas Leon Burr all of Springfield. In addition he is also survived by four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; John A.(Missy)Burr, Jenny(Mike)Propst, Jessica(Brian)Pelfrey, Kurt(Amy)Byrum, Chad(Tashanon)Wilson, Brad Mayse, and Breann(Andrew)Turner, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 5 to 8pm in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 2425 N. Limestone St.; where funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, November 9, 2007, with Rev. Bill Blain officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
